How to Replace a Spa Jet
How to Replace a Spa Jet
Step 1: Drain the Water
Empty the spa until the water level is below the faulty jet.
Step 2: Remove the Jet Face
Turn the jet face counterclockwise to unlock it, then pull it straight out.
Step 3: Disconnect the Hose
Cut the hose connected to the jet body as close to the jet as possible.
Step 4: Remove the Locking Nut
Using pliers, unscrew the locking nut from the back of the jet.
Step 5: Remove the Jet Body
Once the locking nut is removed, push the jet body from the back. It will fall into the spa where you can retrieve it.
Step 6: Clean the Opening
Thoroughly clean the surface around the hole where the jet fits.
Step 7: Install the New Jet Body
Insert the new jet body into the hole. For extra protection against leaks, apply silicone sealant around the edge before installation.
Step 8: Secure with the Locking Nut
Screw the locking nut back onto the jet body from behind and tighten with pliers.
Step 9: Reconnect the Hoses
Attach the water and air hoses to the jet body using appropriate adhesive.
Step 10: Replace the Jet Face
Push the jet face back into place and turn clockwise to lock.
Step 11: Allow Sealants to Cure
Wait for the silicone sealant and hose adhesive to completely dry and seal. Check the manufacturer's instructions for specific curing times (typically 24-48 hours).
Step 12: Refill and Test
Once fully cured, refill the spa and test for leaks before regular use. Your jet replacement is complete.
Important: Do not skip the curing time, as premature refilling may cause leaks and compromise the seal.
