At Spa Parts Online, we are frequently asked about the differences between the older Infinitree™ spa cabinetry and the newer TuffLock™ cabinet system now used on many Just Spas, Cyclone Spas, Leisurerite Spas, Urban Swim Spas and Signature Spas.
As some Infinitree™ cabinet components have been discontinued, many spa owners are looking for a replacement solution when their cabinet doors become damaged, faded, or require replacement.
The good news is that the TuffLock™ cabinet system provides a modern upgrade that not only refreshes the appearance of your spa but also makes future servicing and maintenance significantly easier.
Both cabinet systems are durable and weather-resistant, but TuffLock™ introduces several improvements designed with both spa owners and service technicians in mind.
What Is Infinitree™ Cabinetry?
The Infinitree™ cabinet system was used on many earlier spa and swim spa models across the Spa Industries range.
The front equipment access area was constructed using multiple individual cabinet panels secured by cover strips and screws.
To gain access to internal spa equipment, owners would typically need to:
✅ Remove multiple screws from each cover strip
✅ Carefully remove the retaining strips
✅ Remove the required cabinet panel
Depending on the model, each cover strip could contain approximately 3 to 4 screws, making access to pumps, controllers, heaters and plumbing components more time-consuming.

While Infinitree™ performed well for many years, the fastening system could make routine maintenance more difficult compared to modern cabinet designs.
Introducing the New TuffLock™ Cabinet System
The new TuffLock™ cabinet system was designed to improve both the appearance and accessibility of modern spas.
One of the main goals was to provide customers with easier access to their equipment compartment without needing to remove multiple screws every time maintenance is required.
Instead of screw-fixed retaining strips, TuffLock™ utilises a simple:
Push to Lock. Pull to Unlock.
retention system.
The cabinet panels are secured using slim approximately 6mm cover strips fitted with integrated push-lock retainers.
In most cases, a panel can be removed by simply releasing the locking strips, allowing significantly faster access to the equipment area.

Because the fixing methods differ between the two cabinet systems, some panel sizes may vary slightly.
When replacing an Infinitree™ panel with a TuffLock™ equivalent:
- Panel dimensions may differ by approximately ±6mm
- Minor trimming may occasionally be required for the best fit
- The fixing system differs from the original Infinitree™ design
