Acrylic Repair Kit Quarite Sandstone (QRLSR9514)
Acrylic Repair Kit Quarite Sandstone (QRLSR9514)
Product Description
The Acrylic Repair Kit Quarite Sandstone (QRLSR9514) is a professional‑grade solution designed to repair chips, cracks, scratches, and minor surface damage on gypsum‑based, solid surface, and composite materials.
This single repair kit provides everything needed for a clean, durable, and visually blended repair, making it suitable for both professional technicians and DIY users. The Sandstone/ Gypsum II colour is formulated to match light stone and gypsum‑style finishes, helping restore surfaces without the need for costly replacement.
Ideal for use on benchtops, vanity tops, wall panels, and other solid surface applications, the Quarite repair system delivers long‑lasting results when applied correctly.
The GRepair Kit includes everything you need for multiple repairs, or up to (3) – 15” cracks or (3 to 5) 3” blisters. The kit comes with acrylic paste matched to your choice of spa color, white acrylic for pre-filling, and texturing resin for a professional-looking repair.
Kit Contents:
- COMPONENT A: (2) – 3 oz. Color matched paste
- COMPONENT B: Ample Catalyst for the resin paste, acrylic pre-fill
- K2000-TEXTURING CLEAR: 3 oz. Clear with Hardener – Recreates the “textured” look and seals the repair
- WHITE-ACRYLIC: 3 oz. – Filler for pre-filling – extends usage of Acrylic Granite Paste
- ACCESSORIES: Gloves, Mixing Cups, Stir Sticks, and Varnish Brush
Suggested Materials and Tools Needed:
- A ¼” Die Grinder (electrical or pneumatic) with cylinder grinding points (Dremel-type tools typically are not robust enough for this job)
- Industrial Heat Gun (A hair blow dryer is not sufficient)
- A ⅜” Variable Speed Drill (electrical or pneumatic)
- A rubber disc assembly for the drill (similar to the Roloc Disc pad)
- 3” Sanding Discs – 50, 36, 24 grit (50 grit is optimum)
- Wet/dry sandpaper in 80, 100, 220, 320, & 400 grit
- Variable Speed, Heavy Duty Polisher/Buffer – at least 2500 – 3500 rpm capability is recommended
- Buffer Pad – purchase the pad first and then match it up to the appropriate buffer
- Acetone or Lacquer Thinner
- Clean wiping cloths or paper towels
- Vapor/Particulate Respirator – NIOSH/MSHA TC-23C
- Foam Blocks – approximately 5” x 5” x 5” (8 to 10 blocks)
- Rubbing Compound – Medium Grit
NOTE:
The use of conventional automotive repair products such as polyester type fillers (Bondo, Evercoat, Akemi and Duraglass), lacquer spot putties and primers (although labels may read “acrylic” or “water-proof”) absorb water and are not recommended with this system, especially in spa applications. Substitution of alternate products can have a severe detrimental effect on the performance and durability of the repair.
