The Balboa Ultrazone™ Ozonator (P78B138 / 59088‑KIT) is a compact, high‑efficiency ozone generator designed specifically for portable spas and hot tubs. Engineered as the direct successor to Balboa’s discontinued corona discharge (CD) cartridge models, Ultrazone uses advanced ozone generation technology to destroy bacteria, viruses, and organic contaminants, significantly reducing the need for traditional chemical sanitisers.

Designed for spas with a water capacity of up to 3,700 litres (ideally 800–2,000 L), the Ultrazone produces 30–50 mg of ozone per hour, providing effective oxidation while minimising skin and eye irritation commonly associated with high chemical levels. An integrated status LED allows quick visual confirmation of ozone production during operation. 

This model is supplied as a replacement ozonator kit, intended to connect to an existing ozone injector (not included). Installation is straightforward on spas already fitted with an ozone injection system. The ozonator includes a check valve and hose and features a 4‑pin AMP power connector, with optional adaptors available for mini J&J style plugs. 

With an estimated service life of up to 8,000 operating hours (depending on daily runtime and environmental conditions), the Balboa Ultrazone offers reliable long‑term performance while maintaining spa water clarity and hygiene. This model replaces Balboa part numbers 54451 and 54449, which are no longer manufactured.
